L.R. Akers said that “gratitude has been called the memory of the heart. A heart without gratitude is like a grate filled with fuel but unlighted; cold and dead thing. A cardinal sin of our modern life is ingratitude”Lest I commit this cardinal sin, I would like to take this opportunity (again) to express my hearthfelt gratitude to God and all of you.
- To God:
- For the giftsof faith which brought us together to celebrate the feast of St. Joseph, the Husband of Mary, last 30 March 2008.
- For the gifts of St. Joseph in whose life God has triumphed. He gives new dimension to silence. That silence doesn’t only mean yes (homily of Fr. Serving), but it can also mean HOPE.
- For giving us the capacity to celebrate.
- For the beautiful day.
- To all of you:
- For a faith DEMONSTRATED.
- For your presence.
- For you participation - liturgical celebrations (Novena masses), Fellowship, program, preparation to restoration.
- For those I know in person and those whose names I can’t remember but whose faces are carved in the heart of God.
Indeed, your faith has made the celebration more meaningful. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
